Jenn + Tony : Phipps Conservatory Wedding in Pittsburgh, PA

September 9, 2026 by Jensey Leave a Comment

Ready for one of the most creative engagement stories I’ve ever heard?!

Jenn and Tony love doing escape rooms with their friends. Jenn gets very into them. Tony got a group together to do an escape room, and even got her close friend from Las Vegas to fly in for it! He worked with the escape room company so the final clue would get Jenn in the center of the room so he could propose. After the surprise, Tony planned a dinner with their closest family and friends to celebrate!

It sounds like my personal hell (I don’t know that I would make it out of an escape room without some stress tears!), but I’m so happy Jenn finally found her person and that Tony knows her so well. ❤

I cannot express the bundle of gratitude we felt being brought to Pittsburgh for this wedding, as Jenn has been a “Root Lifer” for years. Our hearts grew 3 sizes and I’m crossing fingers and toes that we don’t have to wait too long before seeing them again!!

Thank you to this wonderful vendor team; traveling out of state for a wedding is never easy, but this team really made us feel like part of the Pittsburgh wedding family and we’re oh-so-grateful!!

This first photo is maybe my favorite; Jenn’s hotel room overlooked the Heinz History Center (her reception venue!) and the massive Heinz Ketchup bottle outside. It won’t take long to see that Jenn really leaned into the ketchup- from their incredibly unique save-the-dates and place cards to her wedding colors. :)

Their magical first look at The Pennsylvanian is one I won’t soon forget! 🥰

From The Pennsylvanian, it was on to the whimsical Phipps Conservatory for Jenn and Tony’s wedding ceremony! ✨

Two decades into this job and we still have new experiences- this was our first couple-hugging-a-huge-bottle-of-ketchup-made-of-hundreds-of-smaller-bottles-of-ketchup photo!

Like most Americans, I grew up with Fred Rogers, and Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood was one of our son’s first favorite shows. I was so excited to be able to see this recreation of the set! ✨

I *loved* the view of Pittsburgh from the rooftop view of the history center. :)

It’s the ketchup bottle label table numbers for me. ❤

We walked the venue the day prior and I immediately fell in love with their reception space: a cozy, dark space with market lights and a trolley car where our couple would make their entrance into their reception!

Jenn and Tony, we can’t thank you enough for the honor of photographing your wedding!! We’re ready when it’s vow renewal time!! :)
