Anna and Rob met about 10 years ago as they were finishing high school. Rob proposed to Anna during a weekend trip to St. Augustine when they were celebrating Anna’s birthday. When we photographed their wedding around St. Augustine, I knew their wedding would be one of my 2014 favorites, and I wasn’t wrong.
Nate and I had dreamed of shooting at gorgeous Bella Collina ever since I first saw photos of the venue- From the second I stepped out of our car until the last sparkler burnt out, I truly felt like we were photographing a wedding in Italy! I certainly hope and dream of returning, but if Anna and Rob’s wedding is the only one we ever photograph there, I couldn’t imagine a better bride and groom to share that experience. :)
I love when we’re able to work with a great vendor team on a wedding day; For us it makes the difference between a stressful work day and, well, one of our favorites of the year. We finally got to work again with one of our favorite wedding coordinators, Allison from Blush, who kept the day running smoothly and seamlessly. Teresa Knox is always a favorite officiant of ours that we don’t get to work with nearly enough, Patricia LeJeune was on hand to not only put finishing touches on Anna’s already naturally gorgeous face, but also to be her ever calming self on what could have been a very stressful morning- This was the weather that morning. :/
The photo on the left is my favorite- You’d never know that “snowy” Italian photo was taken on a humid Orlando day!

I love little nods to Disney at weddings outside of the parks.

Seriously, Root brides, pleeeeease bring us back here! <3

That liiiiiiiight!!!! I could have photographed them on this staircase for hours!

ANNA, YOU ARE GORGEOUS.

I love a good bridesmaid wall for hiding from guests!

Married!!!! Way too many favorites from this wedding- Come back Wednesday for part two! <3

Lately I’ve been in a state of constant shock how quickly time is flying by. I’ve been getting all sappy about our nephews growing so quickly, and Ellie and John Thomas’s photo shoot was no different.
Look at all the stages of Ellie we’ve been able to capture!

John Thomas, or “JT” as he prefers to be called now (*gulp!*) was the first baby we ever photographed! He was just 9 months old on our first session, so all I have to do is look at him to have a physical reminder of how long we’ve been photographers.
We photographed John Thomas’s sessions before we even had a blog, but I did manage to track this one down!!
See why this family coined the term “Root lifers?”

We love this family so, so much and it’s been so special to watch these two grow. We’ve done their sessions in Celebration and their family nursery, so this time, we shot around downtown Winter Garden. :)

We usually just photograph the kids, but Misty realized they haven’t had a family portrait of them since Ellie was born. Nate and I were more than happy to fix that! <3

These twoooooooooooooooo! <3

One of my favorites.

I could shoot this one allllllllll day!

The one thing about this family that never changes? Misty never, ever ages!

We ended their session the way we should end every session- Mom and Dad whispering to each other which kid is their favorite. ;) Misty, I hope you know how much these sessions mean to us!! Thank you for letting us capture your family once again. Until next time! <3
