Casey + David : Engagement

Since we’re on a New York kick, I thought I’d wrap things up with this wonderful engagement session. Casey and David’s wedding is being held in Orlando, but we were able to fly up to their home in New York City for their engagement session. :) We love doing destination engagement sessions, so if this is something you’re interested in, please contact us! :)

Casey and David let us drag them all around Central Park for their autumn shoot, and Nate had a blast playing with a tilt shift lens we rented for the occasion. I’m really hoping we’re able to add it to our family of lenses.

Gah, I could shoot in Central Park forever and never get sick of it!

Casey, I love your laughing face! :)

I’m bummed we were in the city a few weeks too soon and missed the peak color change, but happy we got to see a little of it!

The one on the right is my 2nd favorite. :)

Oh, hello there!

If you’re reading this message, you’re probably here because we’ve gushed about this new site for ages. But seriously, folks… How GORGEOUS is our new page?!

If you’re a past blog reader, there are some big changes going on around here. First off, we’ve been saving some of our favorite events over the past year or so to share, so make sure you keep checking back often for yummy Root goodness. Jensey is the main writer, and she’s making it a goal to keep the blog updated every few days. You can expect a lot more personal posts coming up, and much more Huck Finn. :)

“9th with Nathan” will be a reoccurring column where Nate will be sharing all kinds of tips with you guys, from basic photography advice to where he recommends people back up their photos. On the 24th of each month, “Jensey’s Favorite Things” will be taking place. Each month, we’ll have a random giveaway of one of Jensey’s favorite things, plain and simple. Why should Oprah have all the fun?!

New York City : Travel

The past few years, Nathan and I have been lucky enough to visit NYC a few times. :) Since I never seemed to get around to posting them before, here are my favorites:

Every morning, Nate would open the window and shout, “Are you snowing?!” :)

We saw the REAL Santa at Macy’s! :)

Nate was kinda obsessed with this building.

Justin + Lu : Just Married

We were so excited that the winter after their wedding, Nathan and I were able to go visit Lu and Justin at their home in NYC. :) They were such good sports to get all dressed up again so we could shoot around the city. :)

My favorite. :)

The holiday lights make me SO happy! :)

Poor Lu- It was absolutely freezing!
