Olga + Bill : Engagement

May 6, 2010 by Jensey Leave a Comment

You may have already seen these cuties in our engagements gallery on our website, but with their wedding post coming up tomorrow, I thought I should post these first. :)

They brought along their child for a few shots. :)

I love when our brides show up to sessions wearing bold colors! :)

Olga, you’re scary gorgeous! :)

I think these two are my favorites. :)

Another favorite. :)

Next up: Olga & Bill’s wedding day!

Sarah + Aaron : Wedding

May 4, 2010 by Jensey 7 Comments

Even though Sarah and Aaron’s wedding isn’t featured on our new site, Aaron is! He’s a groomsman in the intro video. :)  We were so excited when Kristen and Pippin’s friends asked us to photograph their wedding. We love shooting friends of past couples’ weddings because we love seeing familiar faces when we’re working! :)  Sarah and Aaron were married in beautiful St. Pete Beach, and we started the day off with portraits at the Sirata Hotel.

This is one of my favorite groomsmen shots- Someone told me it looks like a piano. ;)

Aaron was excited. :)

Ladies and Gentleman- The love of my LIFE! :)

Yet another first look couple! We’re lucky photographers. :)

We headed over to the country club and had plenty of time for photos. (Thank you for that, Sarah!!!)

Sarah and Aaron chose Beth Carrick of Flawless Occasions to coordinate their wedding day.

After a thumbs up and secret handshake with best man Pippin, Aaron was set to get married! :)

Still my favorite altar kiss. :)

Their first dance was to The Beatles- “And I Love Her.”

Congratulations, you two!!

Portrait Session Giveaway

May 3, 2010 by Jensey 20 Comments

Have you been day dreaming about having a photo session with the Roots? Maybe you’ve been looking at a blank spot on the wall where you could be showing off fabulous photos of your family? Maybe you didn’t know about us when you got married and were left with less-than-beautiful wedding photos? (It happens!) Maybe you just want a head shot session for yourself? Maybe you’re just dying to see Nate climb a tree, or you wanna hear Jensey’s goofy way of making our brides laugh?

If you think you might fit in one of those categories, we wanna know! In celebration of our pretty new website and blog launching, we’re giving away a free portrait session* and image disc. (Valued at $700)

All you have to do is take a photo of you and whomever you want photographed and write a little something about why YOU should be in front of our cameras! :) We can’t wait to meet you!

Please send all entries to yaygiveaway@rootweddings.com . Thank you!

*Your entry must be received by Thursday, May 13th at 11:59pm EST. The winner will be announced on the blog on Monday, May 17th. Session date is based completely on our availability. Session doesn’t have to take place in Orlando or Florida, though travel fees may apply. :)

Looking at this photo makes my heart full! I love you guys! :)

Photo of the Week

May 2, 2010 by Jensey 7 Comments

Taken by Nathan ages ago. It’s one of my all time favorite photos… When I first moved to Florida, I came down to work on the Walt Disney World College Program, and this was my home for two years. Seeing this photo brings a warm fuzzy overload. :)
