Fleming + Peter : Wedding Part II

October 18, 2011 by Jensey 3 Comments

Continued from Fleming and Peter’s Wedding Part I. :)

Fleming’s Mom was full of stories about Fleming’s childhood. My favorite was when she got a phone call from a neighbor telling her to come outside, there’s something she needed to see. Little Fleming was sticking her head out her bedroom window shouting, “This is Fleeemmmmmiiiiinnnng!! My mother has put me in time out for no reason!!! Someone help! Call 911!” over and over again. LOVE. :)

It was our first time shooting at Interlachen Country Club and we loved it!

Caught a sneeze. Sorry, Peter, but I love this one!!

My favorite thing about these two? They named their dog Sprocket! *Swoon!*

Their amazing band performed You Are the Best Thing for their first dance.

I’m recommending this to every couple from now on- So many times at receptions, our couples never get the chance to eat because there so many guests constantly coming up and congratulating, etc. Right after the toasts and parent dances, Fleming and Peter snuck off to a vacant ballroom and ate dinner together, just the two of them, then went back to join their guests. And seriously, this photo is just precious. :)

Fleming easily ties with Julie for danciest bride ever!

Love it!!!!

Each guest took home flowers.

Fleming’s parents have always called her “Bird,” so there were little bird nests hidden in the decor… Love it. :) Her sister’s nickname is “Termite,” so I’m even more curious to see how they work in details for that one! ;)

Fleming and Peter, we love you to the moon! Now get your cute butts to Nashville, pronto! :)

Fleming + Peter : Wedding Part I

October 17, 2011 by Jensey 8 Comments

Hands down, my favorite thing about this job are the friendships we’ve made from the couples we’ve met. One day that fact really hit home for us was on Fleming and Peter’s wedding day- Though we’d only met Fleming once before, we all clicked so well that I truly felt like we’d been friends for ages.

I think it’s so cool that Nathan and I have met some of our closest friends on their wedding day, like Justin + Lu and Carrie + Patrick! I love that we’ve shot all of our best friends’ weddings, and I’m hoping to have a friend wedding wall whenever we buy our first home. Anyway, I don’t care if we’ve only met once, Fleming and Peter will be on that wall!

Fleming’s parent’s Winter Park home is to die for. It was seriously Architectural Digest worthy- I mean, look at those walls!

Fleming’s mom was gorgeous. :)

Favorite!

I love the bridesmaids playing thumb war. :)

I’m convinced Fleming’s sister, Taylor, is actually Tinkerbell. :)

Their ceremony was held at the beautiful All Saints Church of Winter Park.

Sometimes I love happy photographic accidents.

There were trumpeters playing during the recessional- It was so loud and happy and epic that it gave me goosebumps. :)

Nikki + Michael : Wedding

October 13, 2011 by Jensey 4 Comments

Surely you remember Nikki and Michael’s romantic candle-lit comic book proposal story!

Well, their indoor wedding at the Lake Mary Events Center in Orlando was just what the doctor ordered for that hot summer day! Patricia LeJeune’s team did a phenomenal job like always.

I spy a past Root groom!!

My favorite thing about Orlando harpist Christine McPhail– One minute she’s wooing the crowd with Canon in D, the next she’s playing Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep.”

Huge thanks to Jennifer Holt of Just Marry! for making the day run smoothly, on-time, and drama free! :)

Their parents participated in the unity sand ceremony, which made for unexpected giggles. :)

Oh, and when the kids are old enough, we’re gonna teach them to flyyyyyyy! – Dave Matthews, “You and Me”

My favorite moment of the day- While their guests headed out for the sparkler exit, Nikki and Michael shared a private last dance in an empty ballroom. :)

Hello, Dara and Jason!

I think this may be tied for most past Root couples in attendance at a wedding ever! Thanks so much to all six of you- We love y’all! :)
